Looye Growers is a family business since 1946 with two growing locations in Naaldwijk and Burgerveen and its own packing hall in Naaldwijk. A total of 500 external employees work at Looye. The showpieces of our menu are of course the Looye Honey tomatoes and the Looye JOYN tomatoes.

Looye Kwekers is involved in both growing and packaging the tastiest tomatoes, with multiple growing locations and packaging halls.

Below you can read more about working at Looye Kwekerijen and what this means for you:

You work standard 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday.
Production starts between 06:00 and 08:00, depending on the period. We aim for a maximum workweek of 42 hours.
You can also be called in on Saturdays, as we harvest our delicious Honey Tomatoes on that day.
Sunday is always a day off. For hours worked above 38 hours, you receive a bonus.
Once a year, you participate in the crop change. This is a busy period where you work extra hours.

Personal hygiene at the company:

Since we work with food that is directly consumed by customers, hygiene is of great importance at Looye. In addition to general hygiene rules, such as:

Clean nails.
No consumption of raw tomatoes or nuts.

We also have additional hygiene regulations to protect our crops:

Everyone who enters the building must disinfect their hands and shoes and use the hygiene sluice (see the instruction video).
Wearing clean company clothing is mandatory. Looye provides this clothing and also takes care of the cleaning.
Gloves are mandatory for all employees.
For all tasks, hands must be disinfected. When cutting leaves and harvesting, it is also mandatory to disinfect knives or scissors.

You can work at one of our beautiful and modern locations. In Burgerveen, we have three locations and in Naaldwijk, one. During the break, we offer all our employees fresh fruit, our tasty tomatoes, coffee, water, and tea. On the last working day of the week, we end with a cozy drink, and every employee gets a bag of tomatoes to take home. We organize various activities for our employees annually, such as a summer BBQ, a staff party, a sports day, and a Sinterklaas celebration. Additionally, employees receive a tasteful gift from us during Christmas and Easter.

Besides this, employees who have been with us for at least 5, 10, or 12.5 years are celebrated to mark their anniversary.

All new employees start as Junior Production Workers at Looye Kwekerijen with opportunities for growth.
